Wirral Blues Club is paradise for everyone who loves good music, great vibes and friendly people. The Wirral Blues Club was founded in February 2023 and is growing into a very popular live music event.
Held at the Thornton Hough Village Club in the heart of the region, you can hear some of the best blues bands from across the country, but also discover local talent. The club is open on the first Friday of every month and offers a cosy atmosphere, a well-stocked bar and great acoustics.
So if you’re in the mood for an unforgettable evening of blues, you should definitely visit the Wirral Blues Club. You will not regret it!

Aethelred’s Bluesmen
If you’re looking for some awesome blues music, you should check out Aethelred’s Bluesmen! They are a band that will rock your inner soul with a massive full vintage sound. Led by Ian “Aethelred” Boyle, a multi award winning harmonica player, they perform both classic and original blues songs that will make you groove and shiver.
Don’t miss them each month at the Wirral Blues Club, where they perform as the house band.
AEthelred’s Bluesmen brings you the best in new and traditional blues music you’re going to love. With years of accumulative experience this is a band that will rock your inner soul with a massive full vintage sound.
The band performs many of the blues classics you might expect along with banging original blues. Our own songs are uplifting and good humoured with one or two dark exceptions that may send shivers down your spine.
